An honest registry for working dogs
We started Support Dog Registry because the existing options felt like gift-shop merchandise: laminated cards printed abroad, no way to verify, and vague promises about "legal protection" that don't reflect how the law actually works.
What registration is
Registration is a piece of trustworthy documentation. It gives you a unique ID number, a wallet-sized card, a certificate, and a clinician letter — plus a public verification page anyone can visit by scanning your QR code. That's it. It won't create a legal right that doesn't already exist, and we won't pretend otherwise.
What it isn't
Registration is not a government licence. In Canada, service dogs are already protected under provincial human rights codes and the Accessible Canada Act, and landlords must consider reasonable accommodation requests for assistance animals under provincial residential tenancy law. Our paperwork simply makes those conversations easier.
Who we are
A small team of dog owners and clinicians based in Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax. We serve Canadian handlers and their dogs exclusively, and we do not sell your data, ever.
